Gomma Books is a bijou publishing house, dedicated to producing exclusive, high quality photography books. Since its establishment in 2004, it has always had an out-of-the-box approach in contrast to conventional publishing.
Gomma was founded without profit in mind by four artists, that were looking to create a fresh, new space for photographers. Its credo was to be unrestricted, unrestrained and daring and -after twenty years, it has managed to remain so.
Gomma has managed to work with some of the most talented and renowned artists such as Roger Ballen, Antoine D'Agata, Lise Sarfati, Michelle Sank, Anders Petersen, Michael Ackerman, Trent Parke, Keizo Kitajima and Daido Moriyama. At the same time, it has been able to dedicate resources and energy to discern and support undiscovered photographers that are regularly introduced by the Gomma editorial team.
From time to time Gomma opens a submission procedure for photographers to present their book projects for potential publishing contracts.
